MTB...
Just thought I would see if there are any MTB'ers on here, I've just got back into it, doing about 18/20 miles twice a week, with mix of Bridleway ( try and keep off Byway, wot wif them loony bikers...
), track, and UCRs.

Off the beaten track!.

Been into it for a while. G-bru likes that balls-out downhill stuff while I'm happy on the trails, usually at at Swinley forest

Re: MTB...
Not yet done the downhill tracks, a few of my mate do it all over Europe, the footage looks great, but thebikes cost more than a small car.....
I'm up for some trekking, nothing to strenuous, I'm still trying to get the stamina level up.

Not been for a while but next time we are out on a jolly we will let you know Stewie.
Swinley offers about 18 mile of single track with some really good fun downhill runs (nothing like knarley Fort William/Alps or Whistler) so all do-able no matter what your level of riding.
Still gotta go to some of the fairly local places like Forest of Dean, Aston Hill and Bike Park in Wales. We should try and organise something???

Of course. I try and get out most weekends as long as it isn't raining when im actually out. I know it's no excuse but it just makes more mess in the car.
I'm going out with Steve sharp on the Saturday ride but will prob get out on the MTB on sun morning if you don't have plans for the weekend? Otherwise another one.

Just got back from a couple of hours exploring the single tracks around Hurtwood, they couldn't have picked a better name if they tried..
, I'm doing a ride around Warnham and Rudgwick on Sunday about 18-20 miles, at a sedate pace.

Yep, Hurtwood is pretty good. Do you ride much of the single track? Would be good to share knowledge of trails. As G-Bru suggested, maybe a club cycle one day.

Re: MTB...
Just a heads up, going out on the mtb on Sunday, leaving from Southwater at midday, mix of Bridleways and back roads should be about 40km so just over 2 hours nothing too strenuous.
