tyre wear

After 10 hours on my exc 250 f back tyre showing signs of wear. make of tyre maxxis , should I replace with same make or something else your views please?

Is that worn from new after 10 hours,and what pressure were you running ? The Maxxis Inters are a great all round tyre. :D

from new yes. pressure 18 psi

18psi is way too hard IMO , I would have mine around 12/14psi, if I ran tubes and not mousses. What Maxxis tyre? I run a Maxxis m7305 supercross pro it, lasts for ever and road legal

Tread pattern and compound will affect wear too.

FIM approved tyres run a shallower tread with less knobbles and are, I think, a softer compound too.
