ponds lane, shere
hi, saw two riders, not sure who they were or if they are trf or not, both on ktm's today ( saturday) at about 11 am, emerging from byway 511 ponds lane, northern end, but not on the byway. somehow they had strayed onto the bridleway which runs alongside the railway cutting, after the end of the first row of cottages, and emerged onto the road by the railway bridge, probably a map reading error, but is clearly signed and this sort of thing is what gets us into trouble. so please take care to read your maps properly, and watch for the signage. it is clearly signed. so straying off piste like this is not necessary. but on the plus side, they were riding quietly. cheers bc
