Hello WR250F, RIP DRZ400

Postby Ares » Sun Jan 26, 2014 11:32 pm

Hi there, just wanted to say hello to everyone, Ive been away for a while as the old DRZ died on me in june on a trip to Hindehead. I finally got a wR250F from a TRF member named Peter. Significant improvement, much lighter and more fun to drive. Been out a couple of times with Gtcodave and had lots of fun in the muddy lanes, kudos to him btw, he went out in the bmw today with road tires and didn't drop it once.

Looking forward to riding with you all soon.

Cheers,

Al

Blimey ! I wasn't aware it was possible to kill a DRZ :o

Drowning them in rivers, thrashing them for thousands of miles and throwing them off Welsh mountains won't do it so you must have been really brutal to yours. :(

Oh yeah, that'll do it.

My "E" is now coming up for 12 years old and has done twenty-odd thousand pretty hard miles and will burn about 100ml of oil in a days trail-riding. It has always burnt a little bit.

If I am expecting to do more than perhaps 150 miles in a day, I take an ickle bottle of oil with me and top up.

(About time I gave the poor cow a bit of TLC I think)
