Surrey face book page

The page on face book is a group page .

Some one has created it and added a few members and numbers have grown from there . In that context every one can post and discuss stuff .

But anybody can see what's being posted ..


What we want I think is a LIKE page .

So for instance once you have found the page on face book and liked it so to speak they have sort of followed you .
So every time you make a post about something it will appear in there face book .

So the idea is keep up with regular posts but basic the keep people interested to share the page and thus possibly get more likes and increase the audience

And with a link to the forum on the page this means more members hopefully for the Surrey TRF

You would need to have a Facebook account to post, yes.
All information posted would be publicly readable too I think. I will experiment with my page in the next couple of days to see how flexible it is. Facebook is always changing policies and such like it becomes hard to stay entirely up to date.

Had a look today. Royally pissed that my email address is on there!
Happy for forum members to email me, but I do NOT want it plastered all over social networking sites.

Also, these area's, without constant maint and management simply become a magnet for twats advertising their brand of 'off road' tat!

Please be careful before fully opening the lid on this particular can of worms.

PS can whoever posted my email address on Facebook remove it sometime soon?

LOL you got owned! You'll need to appeal to the Group owner/administrator (whoever that is) to have it removed. Maybe Sharpy knows?

Sorry Derek it was me... We authorise people to join the facebook group, so I thought it would be ok, sorry for any offense caused.. I have removed it.

Peter Snell set it up when we were fighting the TRO's a couple of years ago. People thought we could reach a wider audience..

Agree it needs managing, so thanks for offering to do that. If you could go in and post links to our rides and information etc... that would be great..
