New bike

Postby Tony111s » Mon Jun 30, 2014 8:22 pm

Hi.

I'm looking to replace my stolen CRF250L with something lighter and with more ground clearance. I don't have a van and I will be doing some commuting on it so it will need to be reasonable on the road too.

Called in at Trinity Motorcycles in Bracknell today and they were very helpful. Favourite is now a Gasgas Cami 250. Some discussion on the main TRF board but has anyone here got experience or views on this bike?

To save forum space we can assume all views along the lines of "it's not orange" can be taken as read [WHITE SMILING FACE]

New model launched around Feb I think. I'll be looking at a new one as not many used ones yet.

Had a good review in TBM and I was tempted but no dealer near me with one at the time. Probably the best of the trail bikes. Looks good too! ☺

The new gas gas bikes come with 2 year warranties - I would look at a 2 stroke ec250 if I was going to look again

Have a look at AJP's. Excellent bikes, great value and if you're not fussed about the badge/brand may well be worth a look.

If I remember the TBM article the engine in the Gas Gas is the same one as the AJP FYI.
