I'm in the market for some winter kit (jacket and trousers mainly) but it seems unless you want to spend a fortune, most sites have limited sizes & colours of matching kit or makes I've never heard of.
Just when I think I've found the right kit for the right price I find the website is actually based in the US so charges import duty.
I have a budget of of about £250 for a decent wet weather enduro jacket and trousers (OTB type) combo. To suit both enduro and trail riding.
Any suggestions welcome.
Where do people buy their Kit?

I've used these places in the past for getting various items of kit:
http://www.dirtbikebitz.com
http://www.adventurebikewarehouse.com
... easiest is to go search Google, then expand the 'Search tools' option and select 'Country: UK' .. this will at least filter out all the foreign sites.

I can recommend Thor Range jacket and trousers, widely available, eBay etc, and roughly in your price range.
I gave the predecessor Thor Ride stuff and it has lasted since I started trail riding.

Just taken delivery of some Thor Range trousers. Jeez...they make me look like MC Hammer
Is there anywhere local'ish I can actually go try stuff on? I'm getting pee'd off with poor descriptions and ambitious sizing from the internet suppliers

I bought my jacket and trousers from Freestyle Motorcycles, Marks Cross, E Sussex purely because you can try it on. It's a bit of a run out but they have a lot of stuff to look at, bikes, clothing etc and a decent coffee shop/cafe on site. Also got 10% off by asking.
Good idea to call first and check they have what you are looking for in stock as their website always says everything is in stock, not always the case.

+1 for Freestyle
I bought my Gaerne MX and trials boots from there. Purely because they have stock and you can try things on
