Selling my 450 for a 2 stroke and need advice on my next bike - can spend 6-7k
A friend said get a KTM 250 EXC Factory over a KTM 250 Six days.
Lee Walters said to get a Husky TE300.
Anyone got a new Husky? Any advice on brands or engine size would be helpful.

Re: New Bike Advice
mmmm
tough but nice decision to make
Unless you are super size a 300 ktm or Husky is not necessary - the 250 is a superb size all round.
I always had 450 but the 2T 250 is a brill upgrade.
Pay your money and take your choice.
The Ktm has a metal subframe whereas the Husky has a plastic one also the Husky has the 4CS forks throughout its range I think.

Re: New Bike Advice
Factory has CC forks, way better than the 4CS crap on the Six Days! Like I said, 250, but if you think you need or can use the 300 power then go for it!

Re: New Bike Advice
I have been told that the 300 is easier to ride because of the torque.
I also know that I can upgrade the 250 to a 300.

Re: New Bike Advice
Are we talking about the same Factory? As no mention of forks in the extras list - the extras look cosmetic only.
The extras included on the KTM 250 EXC Factory Edition are:
Factory Graphics
Machined triple clamps orange
Factory seat blue with SDV logo
Orange rear sprocket
Engine guard
Orange frame guards, radiator louvers, fork protectors
New Metzeler FIM tires

Thats what they told me when I was deciding... and thats what I told the A&E nurse when I walked in with a shattered clavicle and a rib in my lung...

It's a sweet bike... I don't mean to put you off the 300 though, many people ride them and don't go to A&E afterwards
