Hi all,
Can anyone help me answer a concern I have?
I replaced my chain and sprokets, and rear lower chain guide and insert at 76 hours.
Now, at 85 hours, there are signs on the sprocket that something is rubbing and also the top of the chain (top when running across the top of the sprocket) is also showing signs of scoring on both edges. I think this is happening by the lower chain guide insert - I bought an original KTM part - is it too hard that it's wearing my chain prematurely?
Can you buy softer inserts that this won't happen or is this normal "wear and tear" that I am to expect from this type of bike? Not having one before I am unsure so wondered if anyone can help answer.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

something is not on straight i suspect
i always fit a TM designworks chainguide but they are not cheap
also check that the wheel is dead straight especially when adjusting the chain

Agree with Hobbs. You've probably whacked a rock with your chain guide which is now slightly bent and causing friction on the chain and link.
TM Designworks is the only fix really, yes they are expensive but will last the life of the bike and no more friction on your expensive chains!
