Squeaky suspension

Postby ShaunGASGAS300 » Thu Jun 09, 2016 8:51 pm

Hi guys,
Bike has developed a squeaky noise. Its when i'm going up and down so pretty sure its the rear suspension. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance,
Shaun

normally in this situation, two things occur. lack of grease, or something is about to drop off. in the case of gasgas, normally its both at the same time. easily remedied by using the duck tape to wd40 ratio rule. b mcb

It's unlikely to be the mono-shock that is sweaking ( but not impossible ), more likely to be the linkage bushes/bearings, get the bike in the air to see if there is any play in the wing arm or suspension linkages / rose bearings, if there is replace re-grease and tighten to the correct torque 8-)
Have you still got damping in the rear shock, any sign of oil leaking on the rod ?
Off the beaten track!.
