Off Road freindly MOT station in Surrey
I am about to MOT my off road bikes and wondered if there are problems when MOTing the bikes. I was thinking of going to Finns in Redhill unless there are any other better sugestions. Note: I am in Wallington in Surrey...thanks in advance..Tom

Or try Beakys in Beare Green or Normandy Motorcycles.

If your bike is legal why do you need an off road "friendly" MOT station ?

Not everyone that does bike mots does off-road bikes for some strange reason... I have been turned away before.

I've never been turned away but I have had to explain and find the relevant sections of the MoT manual regarding tyres, chain guards and indicators.

That doesn`t make them off road friendly , just means they are incompetent.

You'll be ok with Fin's.
They've done MOT's for me on my old CRF with no problem and Fin rides off road and usually has a couple of dirt bikes for sale so understands the off road market.
Murray.

Beaky's Motorcycles in Beare Green.
A real gent, I take all my bikes there.
Fins is a great old motorbike shop but has variously failed me for small plates, no rear reflectors and once sent me home to change from SM wheels to Knobblies.. Had to buy number plates and reflector and have them fitted to be able to ride away with a pass. Ok I know these are legal fails and I should have had the proper plates on but still scratching my head over the SM Wheels. Something to do with ground clearance..
