Two things,
Are you able to give me a price for replacing my piston (2002 GasGas EC300)

Second thing, do you have insurance? More than happy to help in that department (I'm a commercial insurance broker) *Never miss an opportunity ha!*
Of course I will apply a few discounts for any TRF members!

Hi Shaun
Thanks for the enquire. I can get you a price for a new piston. However we are not yet taking on the removal/replacement work. For that work, we'd recommend Luke Ball (LukeB on the forum).

As for insurance, thanks for the offer, but we have it covered!

Cheers

Derek

Hi Derek,
Yes, if you could get me a price that would be great. Don't rush though as won't be actually doing it for a month. so if you could just let me know over the next couple weeks please.

Currently deciding whether to do it myself or get someone to do it (Depends on the price and if i have time i suppose)

Not a problem, don't ask don't get is what i always say. Thought I would offer my services never the less.

Shaun... Is your compression low or you just doing the piston for "safety"?

As it is a new purchase basically I want to do a small little rebuild to check everything is hunky dory!

Planning on changing piston so I can then start counting hours and gives me chance to check condition of top end ect as I don't know the last time it was done(sellers lie about these thing so never believe them), also want to have a good look at the carb, giving it a good clean out and just checking a few other bits and bobs.

I want to do this all in one go though, strip it down, and redo it with all new bolts and just give it a good check and clean really.

Just checking in to say that recently bought a tyre and two mousses from Derek.

Very happy. A good price and even better service!

Why go enywhere else? Give 'em a go!

Great service from Derek - popped in last week to get my rear tyre looked at and was all sorted with a new mousse very quickly. One stop shop for picking up service items - oil, brake pads, tyres etc.

Good luck with the venture guys!

I popped over to Simply Trail, so far I have had front and rear brake pads and I bit the bullet and went 'moose' with some new tyres that look very chunky, trying them out tomorrow. All good service and price, dropped off wheels one day all ready to go the next day as someone said why go any where else.

Ross.
