Tyre fitting

Postby coolhand » Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:26 am

Can anyone recommend somewhere nearish to molesey that can fit a tyre for me. My usual guy is on holiday. Feltham tyres said £50! (I have the tyre) my other local bike shop has changed their machine and 18  wheels won’t fit. No one wants to touch wheel with rim locks and ultra heavy tubes, anyone know anywhere?

Please no do it yourself suggestions.

Thanks
Luke A

Hi- well its not too hard to do yourself, even with rim locks: if you can wait until next club night, we can do it as a group thing then? ( Provided the Legion do not mind of course, but we could de-camp outside. ) Let me know, I will bring some tools along- Cheers bc
Is it front or rear?

Hi thanks,

That’s very kind and I’m sure a few people may be interested in your offer.

I have a tyre changer (Rabaconda lookalike) if you want to borrow that as well. Even if you don't use the bead tool it will keep the tyre off the ground

Morning Paul/sue, if you turn left out of Barley mow car park keeping cricket green on your right, bear right at top of green the 'whoops' car park is 200 yrs on your left. There is a tennis court and the start of the first lane opposite.

So I found a guy in Sunbury that did it for me on monday morning if anyone else is interested as its hard to find places that will change tyres on dirt bikes.

stewarts motorcycles, was like stepping back in time 30 years but he did what I needed cheap and while I waited.

Very good- saves me the job/offer, and the risk of cocking it up in front of a very knowledgeable audience- cheers, glad you are sorted! bc
