Retro xl185s project

Postby leejerome » Wed Feb 12, 2014 5:59 pm

Here you are a golden oldey for the lanes

This is for my other half as she is a bit of a short bum and does enjoy getting out on the bikes

It's not perfect nor pretty but it should do the job ..

Been built up by me and my old dad just getting through 20+ years of bodge ups on the 6v electrics on the joys

Probably going to spray the tank red and rear mudguard just trying to make it as complete as possible and give it a run :)

Takes me back to the old dt175 days. Get yourself an old door and make a ramp to jump over, happy days!

Ah, DT175, ragging around the fields behind our school; two (or even three up) with no crash helmets. Happy days indeed.

Yes the good old days we all used to have part of which has helped spur me on with the build for the misses

Scored a better tank at the kempton park bike jumble

And a super hard to find front sprocket cover

So just leaves me with a white rusty rear mudguard

Tyres all fitted with rim tapes and rim locks
Engine sorted
Just a oil change and air filter to do then I shall put some time in on the saddle and see how reliable she is
