How To: Embed MOST Videos

Intro:

For the sake of all our members who's technical know how varies I've changed the way the Forum handles videos. This is now much easier to post a video, rather than relying on Flash it uses Javascript and will let you use links, flexibly just like an image.

Embedding is definitely the way to go with videos and images. Keeps the forum fast and lightweight.


Method:

1. During your post click the [video] BBCode.
2. Put your link between [video][/video].




Example:

Code: Select all

[video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVaS3Z9ko4E[/video]

Becomes:

phpBB [video]

[gavinskii]

Dave, how do you get those nifty little videos embedded under your signature (think they might be called gifs?). Viv had one on the old forum (when I say old, I mean the Nov 2012 version )

HAHA! Uhhh *sigh* yeah the old one...

Ok I think to do it in a Sig you need to go to the User Control Panel and then edit your signature.

Use the Img BBCode TAG to link to a .GIF.
