Re: Green Road Guardians: 11 green road 'clusters' & guardia
Hi Steve,
As discussed at the recent club night, I'll 'own' cluster 8 as I live close to all four of the lanes here.
I've checked two of them today and reported a fly tipping incident on one of them.
I'll write them up once we have a format for doing so.
Cheers,
Steve

Steve
I've added you to the list. Thank you.
So we have two clusters now who don't have a Guardian:
- Normandy / Ash / Pirbright
- Biggin Hill
Any volunteers? Or does anyone know someone who lives in these areas and might be persuaded to step up.
I plan to get onto Surrey County Council next and discuss with them how we might be able to help them out e.g. doing the odd inspection of a Green Road for them.

Great thanks Derek! Will do that now. So just one cluster left... I might as well put my own name down. So full coverage now! But more volunteers the better so keep signing up!

Steve,
I'll join you on group 11 Warlingham, Biggin Hill as I don't have much in my existing group and I'm probably one of the closest. Never been out that way so it will be an adventure trying to find them.
Murray.

Re: Green Road Guardians: 11 green road 'clusters' & guardians
Dear All
There have been a few requests to revive the Green Road Guardians.
I am really keen to see this happen and would welcome someone getting involved and taking a lead.
A recent success has been the signing project, with virtually all byways now having a information sign attached to the finger-posts (where they exist), and a large number of members involved.
Many members are already doing lots of other good stuff, the ideas of the Green Road Guardians initiative is to co-ordinate this effort, raise the visibility of the contributions group members make and to undertake new projects which further the aims of both the TRF and Surrey County Council's Volunteer Path Warden scheme.
Thanks
Steven
