Re: Club Night ... where next ?
OK so the "nescot escape committee" have met and checked out the proposed venues this Tuesday and we have a winner.
It means a date change so going forward:-
Feb 26th (4th Tuesday of each month) we will now meet at 830pm at Ripley British Legion ( 25 Rose Ln Ripley, Woking, Surrey GU23 6NE) ...(still getting final confirmation but its 95% certain to go ahead).
Ripley British Legion has a decent selection of beers, plenty of seating, pool table/darts, a small stage and a plasma screen to show dodgy trail bike images. Safe area ... easy access via the A3 and just off the M25 with a large carpark.
We rejected the Sportsman in KT20 as it was just a bit too far away and the area we'd use was in their dining area.
We visited and rejected the effingham legion ... 50% of the drinks were unavailable, 30% of the lights werent working and there is a travellers encampent not too far away (there are metal gates at the access to the legion) so bike security was against it as well.
We arrived at the Cock at Headley on Tuesday night and alas it was closed ! ... no lights on. Ron met the landlord and had agreed that we would have our own bar and its a nice location not far from Box Hill so its a nice option..but transport from M25 is the biggest factor against it so we are going to give Ripley a run for 6months to see how we get on and review it.

Just don't drink Theakstons Best. It really isn't. Unless you need a bit of quick weight loss.
Don't worry though...they did have other bitters on

Sounds like a plan. Pull the pin on several shrapnel grenades and lob them at the Nescot Centre

I will update the Forum, send details to the web master and TRF HQ and cancel Nescot.
Steve B, please confirm with Ripley that we will be attending.
