If you take a stove you can have a loverly pot noodle - beats sarnies.

You can make yourself a wicked little penny stove like mine easily: http://youtu.be/mGCq_0lfRLM

just don't cut yourself.

Well, to answer your question Dark Rider........

I do use a small thermal flask to take a hot drink on rides. I find this is a really good way of getting the 'banter' started when riding with some un-interesting people. They simply can't resist having something to say! Especially when they are cold, because they are wearing B&Q, pound for three pairs, gardening gloves.

However, I have just taken the flask off of the rear mounted storage (it has Domino's printed on it) and found the coffee is stone cold!

If you delivery's take as long as the one's in Guildford, the tea won't be warm at dinner. If I were you, I'd go the mini gas stove and metal cup route.

PS what's is you best time for a lap of the wandsworth one-way system? I once managed it in 25 mins on a number 27 bus!

Feck me that was quick muddee! took me twice as long - I wasn't on a bus but a honda camino 50 and had to pedal it round as I ran out of petrol! My stove came in useful as I had a couple stops for me dinner and a hot drink! I don't know what I would have done with out it in the concrete jungle of Wandsworth!! I had to beat back a couple tramps as they were trying to nick the stove at one point - over by the brewery. Frightening really! I knew that cattle prod I carry in my camel back would come in handy at some point!!! And I thought I'd have to use it on one of them snooty dog walkers but those tramps got it good - they just dropped on the floor dribbling! Tell you what my 86 tool Wenger Swiss Army knife was really useful too! The inbuilt sat nav guided me expertly back to the A3 after I tried the compass - which wasn't that great as the magnetic reach tool interfered with it. Also I did try the teleportation tool but I seemed to have run out of plasma electrons so it only moved me 2 meters... Little disappointed with them. The inbuilt dog siren kept those pesky Alsatians at bay too was really please with that. Highly recommended... Oh I do love a good review... Dark Rider I think this is all you need for your dinners on the trail. Has a fully working mini kitchen tool but the sink could be a little bigger. Mind you a tad expensive at £600 and a little heavy too.

Dark rider, haven't seen you for ages ,thought the old bill had caught up with you at last?
Couple of fishermen friends in your gob and a swig of water tastes much like a hot drink anyway saves any bother carrying all the gear with you. Or there are one or two on here that with all the hot air they spout could warm up any drink just by holding it up in front of them
