Thanks for the vid. Not sure I'd want to do it an a big old lump like a GS though.
It still remains one of my favourite lanes and has given me two of my most memorable rides.
Once when there was so much water that at one of the crossings we needed four people to manhandle each bike across as the torrents washed over seat height. It was probably a daft thing to do without a safety rope to be honest and all bikes and riders managed complete emersion. We failed to keep hold of a KTM 400 and it got washed 50yds downstream. Funny thing was, the headlight was still on so you could watch it tumbling along the bottom. We're not made of sugar though and after a bit of fiddling all the bikes fired up without problem.
Another time Mark and I "raced" it. One of those rarest of occasions, a day when you seem to be able to do any climb, bog or river crossing as if you really are the enduro god you'd like to be. We set off at the back of the group and just started overtaking people when they got stuck or fell off. We didn't seem to be able to put a wheel wrong and our pace just kept building until we were doing "I wonder where the air ambulance will land" speeds.
A "must do" lane that's for sure.
