Permit Scheme Feedback

Postby stevent » Tue Jul 29, 2014 10:09 pm

Dear All
HCC have asked us for some feedback on how the Bentworth permit scheme is going (previous history here: https://surreytrf.gigatech.co.uk/viewto ... ?f=14&t=79)
I know some people were shocked at how quick permits got issued.
If anyone has any feedback please post up or let me know and I'll pass it on.
Thanks
Steven

I was over that way a week or so back - the lanes I had applied for we're locked and despite me entering the lock code received from HCC, they did not open.

So not impressed.

Permit was issued quickly but fat lot of good that is if the lock codes don't open!

I have applied for and received permit for three bikes and a jeep. Took a couple of days.

I haven't ridden them but someone posted that the padlocks were locked with another lock (normally for multiple lock gates, you daisy-chain the locks)

There are apparently equestrian gates that aren't locked so you can get a bike through anyway.

Someone is having a laugh changing the codes/swapping locks?

Permits?? Are these permits for the "temporary" TRO's? That will never open again (how long have the temporary closures been in place?) .See there's another leg from 5ways been closed "temporarily "! With concreted in galvanised gates (Near Greywell) probs never to be opened again  We are being shafted by the council ,as they are throwing us titbits ,permits etc, to ease us into total closure of many if not all the lanes.

Last time I rode them there were no locks on the small gates that we can use. Its just a pain having to open so many gates in a short distance.

However they were quick supplying the permit.

Anyone recently tried to use the gate codes?

Experienced any issues like I had?
