Some of you may be aware that I took part in Riders for Health - Experience Africa trip this Spring. Amazing trip, riding about 1200 mainly through the bush and on trails from Lusaka to Livingston on small Yamaha AG 200 trail bikes. Not quite the chalk hills of Dorking!
We have managed to get Gary Taylor (some of you may know him) who is Riders for Health training manager and ride leader to come and give a presentation with me about the trip at Jack Lilley in Ashford on the evening of 17th September. Jack Lilley are not only being kind enough to host but are putting on some light refreshments!
Details of the evening can be found via this link and I note JL are looking for those interested in attending, dropping them an email so they can cater accordingly.

Re: Trail ride through Zambia
Brief update to this post. I am going to be collecting one of the trail bikes used by Riders for Health to bring along to the presentation. You really will be able to get a proper idea of what the ride was like. Bocketts Farm to Newlands it certainly isn't.

Re: Trail ride through Zambia
Paul,
really enjoyed this presentation, very informative and professionally put together, I had no idea that Riders For Health had been established for so long.
Thanks for going to the effort to put it on. If I'd known Jack Lilleys were going to be putting on such an impressive spread I wouldn't have eaten before attending! I felt a little bit guilty that there was no collection box to shove a few quid into.
cheers,
Graham

Graham sorry we didn't get the chance to chat. Glad you came along. If you or others think that there would be the interest I'd be happy to do something similar for the club night. You might have to bring your own cheese and wine though.

Depending on date, I'd be interested in this at a club night. Cheers.

Hi Paul,
Sounds good, can we sort a suitable month for you to do the presentation at club night.
Happy to chat about the details. You may want to do it via PM or EM or phone call rather than posts. Or can you come to club night Tuesday and we can chat about details.
Thanks
Steve

Steve, Gary Taylor has confirmed his availability for 25th November. This coincides with the NEC show so we won't have the little Yamaha with us. I will get a few pictures sorted to whet the appetite.

Thats great.
I spoke the club manager and they don't have anything else on that night so we can proceed.
How long will the presentation be?

It's about an hour, then general chat and questions afterwards, plus if there's wifi a short video made when Ross Noble went out to Livingston, so might drag on to 1 1/2 hours.
