Hi all,
I'm looking to get back into dirt-biking having last ridden a KX125 as a teenager, and road bikes for the 22 years since. I'm taking some tuition on the last weekend in jan and I'm planning to come to the club night on the 30th, so looking forward to meeting you all.
I've just traded my road bike for a 2013 KTM 250 excf which I take possession of next week! It's a lot of bike for a relative newbie and may be on its side more often than not... But hopefully I can do it justice in good time.
Ciao

Hello and welcome!
Not been to club night yet myself, but a good way to meet some fellow members and get informed. Work permitting I may see you there?
Lovely machine you got there!!!!

Heck of a small world! Where in SA are you from?
Turns out the dealer is dropping the ktm off tomorrow... But it won't be registered until later in the week so I'm going to have to make do with sitting on her in the garage until then.... Unless I find some private land somewhere. I still need some body armour and goggles anyway so I'm not getting out on her before next weekend

I got a towbar and trailer already sorted as I've been planning this for months so ready to rock. You gonna ride next weekend?
Where do you do your KTM-parts shopping?

Grew up in East London (Eastern Province), then lived in Cape Town for 8 years before migrating to the Fridge....
Which dealer did you get your bike from?
If you are itching to ride take her to Four Marks in Alton, (http://www.totalmx.co.uk/tracks/Four-Ma ... nformation) I think he is open all week, but ring first to confirm.
Yes dude, leading a run on the Sunday the 20th see topic: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=118 Get your name down as a reserve, there is always a chance that somebody may drop out.
Best place for KTM bits is http://www.ams4ktm.co.uk, there are a few others, but found AMS to be the most reliable.
http://www.1stmx.co.uk or http://www.dirtbikebitz.com for everything else.

Gangster's Paradise (JHB) for me, but been here over 8 years now.
I will put my name down on the reserve list but you gotta know I'm gonna make every newbie error that was ever in the book.
Bought the bike from Craig's motorcycles in Yorkshire as they were willing to part-ex a road bike for a dirt bike, it's an ex demo bike.

Charlie is an honorary saffa then.
Just took delivery of my new machine... And it feels like every chav in the neighbourhood was out and about at the time to come see... So I'm covering her in chains and padlocks and beefing up the locks. Anyone got a spare dangerous dog to lend me?
