I've used it a little over the summer but have mostly used the Travel Tractor. Having ridden one day out that was pretty snotty I realised that an "S" set up for distance stuff is going to be too much for winter trails. I'll break it or me !
Back to the Stinkwheel; I gave it a good wash and stripped of the necessary bits to access the electrics. A search on t'internet pointed towards a Regulator/Rectifier fault so I ordered one up and fitted it. Making sure connectors and earths were all clean. Put a new sidelight bulb in and ... ......................POP!!.
Bugger !!!
Back on the net and the condenser could be iffy so, a new one of those was ordered and fitted along with another bulb and................. POP!!
Bugger !!! Bugger !!! Bollocks !!!
Back on the pooter and the talk is of dry joints in the stator causing one of the phases to drop out and AC/DC spikes, not crossing the streams of the proton cannon and the dilithium crystals not being able to take it captain.

So, I have to accept defeat and pass it to someone who has knowledge of such witchcraft.
