AA membership renewal

Postby BevH » Tue Dec 01, 2015 10:28 am

Just had my renewal for my AA membership and it is coming in as £160! I only have Roadside Relay and have a Gold Card and wondered what others pay. Last year I did call them up and got it cheaper, but just wondered what the standard payment others pay for cars and motorbikes. I have to say that they have been good in recovering bike in past and even came to the house once so wouldn't want to leave if necessary.
Tks

Hi Bev
Like you, my renewal came through and it was extortionate! I called and they reduced it by half.
Alternately, the RAC give discount to TRF members. Details were on Surrey TRF faceache page a week or so ago.

My last AA renewal came in at £240.00 for myself, my wife and son on an any vehicle policy.

I called them and told them I was going to leave and cancelled the membership. Next day they phoned me and reduced the premium to £90.00 :D . You just have to stick to your guns and actually be prepared to leave.

I always switch between different breakdown services as they give much lower prices to new members and then hit you next time round.

Have a look at one of the cashback sites such as Quidco, sometimes you can get it for next to nothing with the right cashback deal.

Murray.

I have a lloyds platinum account, costs £17 per month and I get AA membership, worldwide all year round travel insurance and mobile phone insurance.

As I need all of the above I find this is the best way to have AA membership.
