Newbie Run on 10th Jan in Surrey/Hants?
Is anyone available for a newbie run from Dorking or Tilford area on Sunday?

You can't be a Newbie forever Graham
(and you're on a 350EXCF, they almost ride themselves anyway)

You have a point.
When does a newbie become an intermediate?
However, depending on who leads, I've been a "newbie" going up Gibbet Hill in the past.
Intermediate then?

Oh yes, that could've ended in disaster and put you off trail-riding forever

When I take newbies out, I watch them very closely. Some can cope with toddling along really easy lanes and that's all. Others seem to just "get it" quite quickly and can be given something a bit more challenging. The secret is to watch for fatigue and give them a chance to recover a bit. A newbie run doesn't normally do any different lanes that any other group. Just the pace will be a little easier and I'd be ready to miss lanes out or cut the day a bit short.
I'm pretty sure you'll cope with most stuff around here. Just be honest with the run leader, if you're knackered, say you need a bit of a rest.
