How to get into the enduro comps

Hi, I am new here and after a few more practises on the lanes I would like to get in to some comps. (Beginner level)
I see people talking about them on here all the time but my questions is...How do i get involved with them? How much normally do they cost to enter?
Any info would be appreciated.

It is constantly updated so keep checking. You basically book yourself into an event and then rock up for it. You may need an ACU license but before you go that route maybe you should attend some 'free rides' or 'practice days' to get a feel for it. Where are you based? If you are up for it I can try include you if we go to a practice/free ride?

There's one on this weekend, http://www.actiontrax.co.uk/events/ as said I would do some practice events first and try and go to one with a laid out track/course as it will give you more of a feel for the event, also be careful on free ride areas as there might be someone coming the other way

Another way to experience these events is to volunteer to marshal.................

South East Enduro Combine (SEEC) run regular Time Card enduro's and Hare & Hounds. I'm a member of Witley MCC and have marshalled for them a couple of times. For the Witley club it is probably best to join the club (£10), pop along to a club night (in Compton) and speak with Manny.

Other members on here have joined Sidcup MCC, Kingston MCC etc etc - sure they will pop up on here and offer to get you into their club.

Derek is right ... marshall an event before you dive in ....stay to the end and collect the flags and tape and you can ride the course for free pretty much.

Hi,

I have one of these racks and once you get the knack of loading bike, and strapping it down it is really good. Take care that your car can take the load though, I have mine on a T5 transporter van and even that states a max tow ball load of 100kg which with rack and bike weight I exceed. Talk to Dave basically about car and bike combination and he will advise. You need a flange style tow bar also, not the removable type.

I also have one of these been using it on various vehicles for a long time.

I really like them and once you learn the easy technique for loading it takes 30 seconds with the minimum of effort.

I seem to recall Brian (Silvergull) had a couple of these for sale.
