Hi, been thinking about joining the Trf for a while but thought that there would be limited lanes close enough for me to get to. Have bit the bullet and joined up so hopefully will see some of you on the trails soon.
Based in SW14 and my current bike is a Beta 300.

Welcome Hoops! Nice bike, there are a few Betas in the TRF now. I don't think there are too many lanes close to you so you may have to travel a bit. A van would be ideal...
Hope to see you on a run soon.

Hi,
Welcome to the TRF and the group.
Please take a look at the new members information sheet. Available in new members info section of the forum.
Your nearest starting points for rides are about 18- 20 miles away. Box Hill nr Dorking and Bocketts Farm nr Fetcham. (They are both close to each other)
Regards
Steve

Thanks guys. I know a few of the lanes around Dorking way as I am often out that way walking. Most of my riding is enduro practice days so I have a van to transport the bike

Hello and welcome, seen a fair few
Beta300s on the trails lately, never ridden one myself, but they look the nuts, how do they compare to the EXC do you know?

I've never ridden a Ktm 2t. So can't compare. I did once have a exc 450. A couple of people have told me they won't go back to ktm after getting a Beta.
The concensus seems to be they are a bit more forgiving and unless you really are at the sharp end of racing you be better off with a Beta. I love mine and it suits my slow and lazy riding.
The starter motor works every time as well
