Yep. I think it's possible to stop the use of HTML in signatures.

Out of interest are you talking about mobile phone 3g bandwidth, on a contract that gives you 'unlimited data*' instead of 'unlimited data'?

If you are, might be worth seeing if you can increase your browser's cache. That way, websites you visit frequently don't need to download everything from scratch, it reuses the files it's already downloaded. EG the picture at the top of our forum would be loaded from your phone - every new page - instead of the server the forum is on.
