Excellent day out with a few of the lads in Exmoor this weekend.

Half way though the day this happens...

No damage to bike or myself so can laugh about it now.
Enjoy my crash in HD :)

A great day out.

Good to meet some new faces and old ones!

Derek, I hope you get your clutch sorted.

Gavin, I hope the repairs go well.

Simon, I hope your foot is ok?

Looking forward to the next on in the Autumn.

Kev

Yep. Definitely going to make the effort to go back for the next one. October?

Great riding location and despite there being over 100 bikes, the main trail was not too busy. Some excellent sections as well......gullies, trials, enduro and what looked like a very challenging climb.

Shame the clutch went. Thanks to Simon for covering my trip back to Raleghs. Probably would have stalled had I been alone and I did not fancy a 3 mile push! Hope the ankle is OK?

I do have some video. Even a glimpse of Gavin looping the loop and Steven having a 'rest'. Looking at a number of video's, it appears that having a little off, was a common theme. Splendid!

Good to catch up with so many Surrey riders and meet some new faces.

Special thanks to the Somerset TRF team for laying on the event and to the land owner for use of the forest.

Yes fantastic day at the forest and some good beers and roast potatoes the night before. I will definitely be back for October.
A couple of photos attached including Gav's modified rear mud guard.

Hey All
Just to reitterate what others have said.
A fantastic weekend in Devon and Somerset.

We spent Saturday checking out the lanes starting at Newton Abbot in Devon. Incredible amounts of dust! Lots of long lanes, many hardly used, no 4x4 ruts, lots of tractors. The views over Dartmoor were fantastic.

On Sunday at the Somerset TRF event, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Relatively easy main circuit and then lots of off shoots "trials section", "enduro section", "HARD" - these where things go pear shaped of course - requiring rests as you put it Derek! / bike surgery etc etc.
Really great crowd of people from the club there.
A few snaps:

Looks AWESOME! Those Somerset lads know how to organise a party! Count me in for the next one Steve!

What happened to your foot Simon?

What happened to your clutch Derek?

Nice to see the photos - some great views! Our KTM cult will probably have a fit when they see the orange bikes as an underwhelming minority amongst a sea of blue and white. Reality check! ;P

Quick video of the day. Apologies for the music. YouTube made me do it!

it is worth watching to the end - just to see Gavin trying an assisted dismount!

Marty,

Thanks for posting up the complementary photo  - just for the record I was in fancy dress as Father Christmas, but the beard fell off!

Kev, new clutch lever and number plate arrived today, just hoping the new rear fender arrives before Sunday.

For anyone remotely interested here is a vid from our gentle ride out on the Saturday.
