Well after a number of years of being badgered by my biking buddies to join them green laning and doing enduros I have relented (and also realised that I'm not getting any younger)!
I passed my bike test at the start of 2000 and have owned a number of road bikes; currently I have a Yam FZ1n. I worked for a short time for Honda at a Dealership (God, never mix work and pleasure as they have a habbit of blending together and loosing the fun..). I have done a few track days and schools with the Chris Walker one last year and the Ron Haslam one a months ago and I'm pretty quick according to the instructor I had there

Now, off road, experience is just mountain biking but this has pretty much come to an end as I have a problem with hills..or rather going UP them anyway! So, I have the basic knowledge of a two wheeled method of transportation on trails and experience of getting soaked and muddy which I hope will put me in good stead for this 'lark'.... well a tiny bit.
I would be very keen to go on one of the guided rides and if anyone is in my area please feel free to impart some of your wise words as I am going to probably need them. The idea of TRF support for me as a rider apeals, so I am likely to sign up when I have any free money (see paragraph under)!
I have bought privately and will pick up a '95 Yam 250TTR OE this Friday/Saturday. Last Sunday I bought a Yam enduro jacket cheap from Infinity in Camberly. Last night I picked up a set of Alpinestar Bionic knee guards for a good price off of Ebay. Today I bought a Scorpion helmet (budget crept up..) and a pair of IXS gloves. My budget was small and i'm now at the mercy of my 0% credit card with a few more more 'essensials' to go

Hope to meet some of you in the near future

Scott
PS Does anyone know of a 250 TTR silencer going cheap as the bike has a Supertrap one on it which is a little loud? Can a Supertrap be made quieter; I belive it's something to do with adding more or less washers at the outlet point?!?!
