Any preference from user experience between 'old' style alloy with rubber bonded onto the inner tube side or the 'new' all plastic type?
I ordered from Dirtbikebitz what was described and pictured as the alloy type which I had faith in last time I used them but received the plastic type instead.
When I queried this with them their response was surprisingly patronizing and rude. Telling me I should move with the times and get up to date with what the latest kit that the enduro/mx teams are using!
I'm willing to be persuaded that new is best but would like to be reassured from fellow riders first.
Thanks,
Dave W.

Re: Alloy or plastic rim locks
I prefer the all alloy type; I think the last ones I bought were Talon.
Never seen an all plastic one but I suppose the answer is give em a go and see how they are.

Re: Alloy or plastic rim locks
Don't think it matters too much tbh. I'm using the plastic rubbery ones and they work fine. No issues yet.
About the bad service at dirtbikebitz: well that's just shocking. I always ring them because I prefer speaking to someone and find them a laugh.
Doesn't stop them sending me the wrong item every 2 in 7 orders though
