Hi All,
Wondered if anyone could help?
Just bought my KTM and since offloading from the van, she's developed a squeek from the rear shock on depression.
Usual squeeks can be fixed with a bit of WD40 but I suspect this is different!
Anyone had similar problems and can advise where to start looking/fixing?
Cheers
Paul

2nd hand bike?
If it is take off swingarm and lube swingarm bearings and shock bearings with red rubber grease (don't use that moly shiz it doesn't last).
I'm willing to wager that's what it'll be.
You should look at doing this every 6 to 12 months depending on how much riding you do.

Re: Squeeking Suspension
Before removing wheel / swingarm / linkages and shock, make sure there's not a grease nipple fitted...
As said though, its a second hand bike, I would be giving it a strip down and replacing / servicing all the component parts and consumables, it probably all good, but nothing beats pease of mind...

Re: Squeeking Suspension
Could be something as simple as Airbox boot rubbing on the Spring, so check that out first.

Haha that vid is ace!!
Corky, on reflection of what I said before: it's probably best you have some replacement bearings on standby before stripping the rear end, if you're in any hurry to get out again.
Reason being is sometimes the old bearings are a bit squeaky because the old bearings are turned to brown dust through bad maintenance. So metal is grinding metal.
Removing the pivot bolt holding the dust and shrapnel in place may mean you can't reassemble without new bearings.
You will definitely notice a difference in suspension if that is the problem though haha ;D
