If you're interested in keeping up on progress, a lot of the race will be shown on Eurosport. Full TV schedule at this link: http://www.tvguide.co.uk/titlesearch.as ... ar%20Rally. If you don't have Eurosport, then there are various streaming sites online so you can watch via PC/internet.

Really? You mean this is the only thing BT havent bought the rights to this year? Thats fantastic!

<rant>A mate of mine bought one of those BT tv things just so he's able to watch the motogp this year. Its fu£££ng awful!

It takes 2 minutes to boot up, each time you select a new section it needs about 20seconds to load it. Then when you find it, and i mean find it because its a mess and each button press takes about a second to effect the menu, you need to subscribe.

So, you need BT phoneline £ BT broadband £ BT TV £ and a subscription £.

If the authority are reading, f##k you I'm pirating it.</rant>

Last year there were some fantastic photos taken on the Dakar (not by anyone we know) and a great write up. Looking forward to this years coverage :)

Am i right in saying the engines are restricted to 450cc now or are they still 500s?

There is a great thread running on ADVrider. It has regular updates from fans and riders, plus pictures, videos, maps etc. Only problem for you is that its already at Page 101, so you have a lot of catching up to do! :) Link is here: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=944895.

The main Dakar site also has links to photos and video (see http://www.dakar.com/index_DAKus.html).

I think you're right on the restrictions, but at 450CC.

Just to reinforce, I hadn't seen the day before's coverage before posting yesterday.....therefore didn't know that Sam had "disappeared off the radar" on stage 3 and ended up 15 minutes down then field!

I hope that stage 4 was more positive.....
