Noob from Walton on Thames

Postby NSK » Fri Jan 24, 2014 11:02 pm

Evening all,

My names Chris, I've been pointed in the direction of the Surrey TRF by one or two people I know from another forum. I come from a succession of road bikes, and for the last year have been riding a 660 Tenere. I'm really interested in doing some trail riding, although I am aware of the limitations of my bike (weight and height to name two... :) )

I have a little sand dune riding experience on a DT125, although that was *cough* years ago...Been out on a couple of the lanes around the Gomshall/Newlands area, but am nervous about riding alone on the trails. Looking through the forum already I've picked up loads of helpful tips, hoping that I can come along on a noob run soon, or if anyone's got any advice for bigger/heavier bikes it would be much appreciated!

Here's to meeting up some point soon :)
Chris

What he said ;) as soon as the 950 is back together will put a big bike ride together. No difference in riding style just heavier to pick up ;)

Now that the biblical winter rain has subsided somewhat I've actually got off my backside and paid my TRF subs :D

Hope to see some of you out and about on a ride soon
Chris
