Bike Security

Postby danw872 » Mon Mar 03, 2014 9:43 pm

Hi guys.

I have a new kawasaki z800 this is always in the garden next to the back door with a xena noisy ass disc lock and a datatool trakker fitted which by the way is awesome would recommend one to anyone and also have a cover on the bike.

As for the ktm i have just finished installing the yanchor max and a almax immobilizer 4 chain and this to has a xena noisy ass willy lock on and is also right outside the back door this also has a bike cover.

Almost forgot i also have cctv all round the outside of the house and a camera dedicated for watching the bikes these also have very good night vision.

Now even with all this i still get the odd nosy bike thief but once they have noticed they are on camera and that the bikes are not moving they go away and i have not seen the same thief come back twice.

Why do people feel the need to steal other peoples belongings?

What bike security does everyone else have and how successful is it at doing its job?

Thanks Dan

We keep a range of Oxford locks and chains at work if any one is interested

Whilst I am appreciative of the offer I won't invest in any chain which isn't an Almax.

Also.. In terms of security I rely on locked doors.. Alarm and baby monitor. I keep a bat near the door on the way to the garage. Seriously duck anyone who wants to try it. I will destroy you in self defence!
